A lifetime photographer,
Boone was influenced at an early age by the striking black and white work of LIFE Magazine photographers Capa, Bourke-White
and Eisenstaedt, as well as the classic 1930’s Farm Security Administration photographs by Evans, Lange, Welty and Wolcott. Their scenes continue to remind him of his eastern N.C. childhood.
Boone
studied at Penland School of Crafts, The East Coast School, and with master photographer Jack Holowitz in New England. He has exhibited
throughout N.C. including East Carolina
University, Raleigh’s Municipal Building, Durham Arts Guild, Raleigh
Fine Arts Society, and the N.C. Photographers Annual Exhibition.
