Louanne Watley

Louanne Watley has shown her work in over 100 one-person, group, and juried shows across the southeast United States. Her photographs have been in the NC Museum of Art, Southeast Center for Contemporary Art, Chrysler Museum, Duke Museum and is collected by Museum of Fine Arts Houston, the NC Collection at UNC-Chapel Hill and the Sallie Bingham Center at Duke University.  Her photographs have appeared in the North Carolina Literary Review, Carolina Quarterly, Appalachian Heritage, Calyx, and the Sun Magazine. She has received a NC Arts Fellowship, a Kentucky Foundation for Women Project Grant and an emerging artist grant.  She grew up in Kentucky and has undergraduate and graduate degrees from Duke University.  Her studio and home are in Chapel Hill where she lives with her dog, Loulou.
